The company has just announced its financial results for the second quarter of this year, in which the company reports a net loss of $1.189 billion, or $1.96 per share. As a point of comparison, AMD posted a net loss of $600 million US for the same period last year.

Net losses my arse.

 

What all these companies actually mean is they have not met their projected profit forecasts.

It's not an actual loss but less profit.

Big drop from $47 a share, back in January 2000.

No Company, can withstand these staggering losses, every 3 months,if it was an actual loss.

AMD may have lost $1.189 Billion,off the nett value of the Company,in the last 3 months,but that doesn't mean, they aren't still making huge profits.

Just not as much profit,as they have been accustomed to.

My take anyway.:)

Confidence, is the feeling I get, moments before I stuff something up.
