NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM

Hi,

I was going thru my event view for my SBS 2003. I was in the security tab

and I noticed that NT Authority\System was logging in at unusual hours. What

is NT Authority\System? Does it do regular logons to the client PC's on my

network for some type of test or something? Please advise.

Thanks,

Steve

RE: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM

Thats the machine itself, its doing whatever work it needs to. I would

ignore those alerts.

This post is provided as-is and is my opinion, check the facts before doing

anything in production.
