Guest Rick Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Hi I am running Windows XP Home on a Gateway machine. I recently updated my Video card to a HIS Radion X1650 Pro. Since then I am receiving Windows Explorer crashes with the following error message: App Version 6.0.2900.2180 atimcenc.dll mod version 9.14.0.60829 offset 0063054 I also noticed a error on my AV One Pro Video conversion program. Thinking it might be a bad install, I deleted the card and programs in Safe mode and reinstalled with the same problems. A web search for a possible solution found nothing Any advice or thoughts appreciated Thanks Rick

You might try reinstalling the video drivers for your graphics adapter. If that won't do it try here. http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=29 http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html Mark
Guest kenkcj Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Re: atimcenc.dll cause explorer.exe crarashes What firewall software are you running? I've noticed that some firewall programs tend to cause issues with installing new hardware drivers and random software. Try disabling the firewall during a reinstall or repair install and then reactivate the firewall. Just something that has worked for me many times with corrupt installations :-) -Kenkcj "Rick" <rickk@bright.net> wrote in message news:OBSo81f3HHA.1208@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Hi > > I am running Windows XP Home on a Gateway machine.
