Guest Maddog Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Hi, I need some help working out why an old wallpaper appears on start up between compaq and welcome screens . Tried everything i can think of please any help would be greatly appriecated. Also why does the display flicker between dark and gray a number of times on boot up and takes long time to complete boot up . Sorry to ask but i know little about computers . thanks for your help. Tony.
Guest Tom Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 RE: start up problems It appears because that is the last wallpaper you used. So if you changed your wall paper from what it is now to another one, the wallpaper you have now would be breifly displayed. I don't know why it does this. My sugestion would be to set the wallpaper to none. Reboot, then select the wallpaper you want and see if that does the trick. My screen flickers alot too; most do. I believe it is something to do with adjusting resolutions. Tom "Maddog" wrote: > Hi, I need some help working out why an old wallpaper appears on start up > between compaq and welcome screens .
