Guest John T. Seelig Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 On approximately 5 of our Production IBM blade 8832's we get this error occasionally. No matter what I have tried it keeps logging these every 10 seconds. Restarting the server resolves the problem, but obviously this is less than ideal. According to the conventional wisdom I can find this is due to disk performance counters being turned off. This being a 2003 server, my understanding these are always turned on. Any assistance regarding this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Check your HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Perfdisk\Performance\ registry key to see if you have the Disable Performance Counters subkey and if it is configured with a value of 1, as this will turn off your counters. To fix this you should be able to either change the value to a 0 or just delete the Disable Performance Counters subkey. If that doesnt help you could check out these other possible solutions.. http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=2001&eventno=730&source=Perfdisk&phase=1 Coraleigh Miller "John T. Unfortunantly, I have been down this road already. I do not have the "Disable Performance Counters" DWORD value. I have also tried all the other items listed in the event id link provided. That is why I am stumped. Any other thoughts out there? Thanks! "Coraleigh Miller" wrote: > Hi John, > > By default these are supposed to be turned on.
