When I try to load print drivers on a new laptop it says it cannot load

because the print spooler is not started. I went into services and double

clicked the print spooler. It is set to automatic but the start and stop

buttons randomly turn on back and forth. Tried manual the same start/stop

issue.

What happen if you open a run command , type in:

NET STOP SPOOLER

Reboot your machine, then on the run command enter this:

NET START SPOOLER

Hit F5 to refresh and see if that will help.

What the make of your printer and does compatible with the OS and the

hardware of your laptop?.

Tried the net start net stop. No change. If you go to Services and double

click print spooler the Start button will go on then the stop button will go

on. It just bounces back and forth.

Hi Mike,

Read through these links and see what option will work for you:

The driver installation failed. I cannot uninstall or reinstall the driver

on my Windows® XP PC.

RE: Print Spooler

Thanks nass, I will try that. The last time I installed the print driver it

did not show up in the printers folder. However it did show up in Add/Remove

programs. At one time this printer was shared off another computer but

printing was inconsistent. Funny it would network but not install direct.
