Guest umpaloompa Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I am needing to convert my Windows XP from English to Spanish. I have gone to the regional setting in the control panel and changed it to Spanish, but all of the applications are still in English. I would like to see if it is possible to do this without having to buy another version of Windows XP. -- umpaloompa

You cannot upgrade or convert from one language version of the OS to another, so you'll have to purchase and use the full version of WinXP (in whatever language you want) to perform a clean installation. Guest Paul Randall Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Re: English to Spanish This link might help -- maybe give you ideas on what to search for. I've never tried to use any other language than my default language. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292246/ If the applications are in English, I don't see how a different OS is going to change the application to Spanish. I think the OS can only change the language of the menu items and dialog boxes, but I'm not sure. -Paul Randall "umpaloompa" <umpaloompa@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2AE06DA1-C698-4334-B35E-BBF9F9870898@microsoft.com... >I am needing to convert my Windows XP from English to Spanish.
