2003 server can't see 2000 license server

My TS license server is a windows 2000 server, in the licensing manager, it

says activated, and it issues licenses to users on it and another 2000 server.

I now have a windows 20003 server, the grace period is up, and it won't

issue licenses, says it can't find licensing server. When you go into TS

Licensing on it, it shows the win2000 license server, but for activation

status it says Unknown.

Do I need new/different licenses for it?

You need both another licensing server and new licenses.

A Windows 2003 Terminal Server must connect to a 2003 TS Licensing

Server (which can be installed on the same server as the TS, it

doesn't need to run on a DC anymore), and it needs 2003 TS CALs.

Thanks, Vera, I googled this a little more, and it looks like old news, I'll

have to hurry up and get with the times!
