Guest louder Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 When installing software for a hp c6100 all-in-one printer the installation stops with the message "usbprint.sys needed". I cannot find the file anywhere. It is supposed to be part of the Service Pack 2 for Windows XP. My system configuration tells me that is what I am running. Hp says it's a microsoft problem, and microsoft puts me off to the computer manufacurer (Gateway), and they haven't been of much help either. Any ideas??? -- louderscheid

Guest louder Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Re: usbprint.sys needed Thanks Gerry. HP Tech Support had me download the software from their website when I first talked to them about the problem. Installation halted at the same spot as the software installation from CD. -- louderscheid "Gerry" wrote: > http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=1153494&lang=en > > -- > > > > Hope this helps. > > Gerry > ~~~~ > FCA > Stourport, England > Enquire, plan and execute > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > > louder wrote: > > Sorry.
