Guest JW Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Anyone know how to correct this error message: "Incorrect MFC Dll versions installed on the system, minimum requirement is MFC SP4 Dlls." Message comes up shortly after boot up of Windows XP when Broadcom wireless network adapter is trying to make a connection to the nearest WAP. The result: NO WIRELESS CONNECTION MADE. Clicking on "OK" simply causes the message to disappear briefly and then reappear. The only recent changes to my system were automatic security patch updates of Windows XP ... KB936021, KB938828, KB921503, KB938829, KB938127, KB937143. One of these updates appears to prohibit Broadcom Wireless adapters from working properly. The problem occurred on the very next boot up after the XP patches got installed. Tried a system restore to multiple previous points. No luck. Tried uninstalling Broadcom Network adapter drivers and software and re-installing with previous, and newly updated, versions. No luck. Did a complete scan of the computer thinking some ugly virus might be the cause (use McAfee, Defender and Earthlink). No luck. I've spent the last five hours researching the issue. Not a darn thing out there on the net that could help me resolve the problem. Help.
