Guest 1gpunt@gmail.com Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 We have a W2K3 SP 1 server with a application running. Sometimes when we reboot the machine, some files in directories are deleted. This does not happen everytime. but the deleted files are allways the same. It are JAVA files. We tried (using auditing) to find out who deleted these but are not able to find the user or service that did it. Does anyone have any idea how to attack this problem? Ivo
Guest Coraleigh Miller Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Re: Files missing after reboot. Hi Ivo, Is it possible that these files are just temporary files generated by your java program on activation, so that when the program is closed the files are no longer needed by the program and are removed. Have you tried exiting this program and related services to see if the files dissapear? Do you lose any actual data with these files' dissapearance?
