I want to disable Windows defender. Totally. Delete it and never see a trace of it again.

I wish to remove Windows Defender, disable it, and ensure it never reappears. I've tried using group policy, registry editor, and even mounted the filesystem on a different operating system to delete it. However, today I noticed it's back! Its green checkmark is mocking me, stating, "your computer was scanned TODAY."Is there a way to permanently eliminate this pice of **** VIRUS from my system?
