stylishjm Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Hi I bought a dell laptop a year ago (inspiron 6400) and im sure it has dell media direct installed on a partition. When I press the Dell Media Direct button next to the power button when the laptop is off it shows the dell media direct startup screen but then proceeds to a normal startup. Is there a chance that Vista isnt compatible with it?? Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Do you want to install Vista on it stylishjm? Apparently the max amount of memory you can put in that laptop is 2GB. This really is a base requirement for Vista no matter what MS says. Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 I have a laptop that says it can run Vista and it has 512mb ram so that's rubbish. What are your specifications for that machine? Quote
