Hi all

I have been give a Phillips LS1000 by a friend that’s just about had enough of trying to get it to work properly. He says it just gets to hot in such a tiny space, I have had a play with it for him and I have to agree, it’s a lot of computer in a little box

What I was thinking could I just put the whole kit and caboodle in an ordinary case with a better fan. It would be a sham it could be a powerful computer

What do ye say folks ‘ Am I making it all sound to simple?

You should be able to just swap the components into a new case, but cases are different, and the way they house components are different - some cases have the PSU at the bottom and some at the top - you HAVE to make sure that the PSU cables can reach to where they need to and cases that have PSU at the bottom need to be much longer to avoid the graphics card and to reach the 4/8 pin ATX which is at the top of the board.

I have seen many people nipping to their local pc shop to get an ATX extended wire. :o
