I am trying to install ActiveSync 4.2 but I keep getting an error because it

is trying to install on a network location that no longer exists. Same thing

happens when I try to install Adobe updates. How can I change this setting?

Re: InstallShield Defaults

MissLouMom,

If the machine is on the network then what I suggest you do is:

Open MY COMPUTER | TOOLS menu | MAP NETWORK DRIVE

Choose the drive (P:\ for example) that is giving you the Access Denied or

Network Resourse Is Not Available message. Now, choose any folder whatsoever.

Click OK so its displays in MY COMPUTER

Now, install the software & then disconnect the network drive created above

This should solve your issues

Re: InstallShield Defaults

The drive that is not being recognized is not on the list. It is an old one

and all the info has been moved to a new one. Somewhere it must be picking

up the setting for an "automatic" installation route that I need to change to

just install what I want on my C drive.
