Guest b11_ Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Under DOS, I am able to access partition "C" but not the other partitions. How does one access the partitions (not the drives) other than "C" ?

Guest Jeff Richards Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Re: Under DOS Do you mean you want to erase some or all of the contents of the partition, or do you want to remove the partition (and therefore, of course, erase the entire contents)? If you want to erase a folder within the partition, you need access to the partition from the operating system (DOS or W98) using one of the utilities that has been mentioned here. If you want to remove the partition then you can do it with a partition management tool, which often contain its own OS and might not rely on an installed OS at all. You haven't previously mentioned that you want to "_erase_ a folder", but it's still not really clear just what you want to do. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "b11_" <b11@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:33ED1864-1AF7-42F4-8AD3-B50099B78727@microsoft.com... > But I am trying to _erase_ a folder on an NTFS partition. > ___________________________________________________________ > > "jt3" wrote: > >> I think that the SysInternals DOS reader for NTFS is still available, or >> at >> least it was last I looked.
