Guest janet Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 We are preparing to take the two Domain Controllers that hold the FSMO to Windows 2003 R2. We just want to ensure there are no gotcha that we have missed below is our environment. Currently we have 1 domain All servers are windows 2003 some with SP1 a few without. All Domain Controllers are windows 2003 SP1 Two Domain Controllers hold the FSMO and are both GC - 1 holds the Domain Naming Master and Schema Master the other hold the RID, PDC and Infrastructure Master. We have 15 Domain Controllers globally. We have 5 Exchange 2003 sp2 Servers We have SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 servers We have around 20 other member servers This domain started as a windows 2000 domain I have installed Windows 2003 R2 in our test environment first running adprep on the forest, then I ran the setup R2 on the two domain Controller FSMO role holders in the test environment, which also has a Exchange server, SQL server. All went well Is there anything else I should be worried about or looking at before proceeding in the production environment.
