Guest Coraleigh Miller Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Re: DMBoot error Hi Sandy, Do the possible causes in the article (is it article 236086?) apply to you? Microsoft does reference this article from within a Windows 2003 doc so that would make me think that it would work for 2003... maybe someone else here can confirm? From the article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816307/en-us ... "Never delete or create a partition on a dynamic disk during Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003 text-mode Setup or when you start the computer by using the Recovery Console. If you do so, permanent data loss may occur. For more information about this issue, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 236086 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/236086/) System or boot disk listed as Dynamic Unreadable in Disk Management " You may also want to try running a chkdsk to make sure theres no physical issue with your drives (as well as changing your data cables with known good ones).
