Guest Gr11zzly Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Since my last XP update I am unable to manually update/synchronize Internet time. I get the message " An error occurred while Windows was synchronizing with time.nist.gov" This is regardless of the server selected. I have the same problem on my laptop. After startup the INTERNET TIME tab on the clock shows that there had been a successful synchronization at power on. From this I assume NTP and the firewall are OK. Any suggestions?
Guest Curt Christianson Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Re: Manual update of internet time There have been problems with that for some months now. A list of the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) time servers that are available on the Internet http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262680 Just type in the combo listbox.
