Guest Mike Johnston Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 My client's using terminal services starting printing blank pages today. All clients and all printers. Everything worked fine yesterday. Any ideas on a fix or what to look for? Mike
Guest Makarand [MS] Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Re: Printing Blank Pages Mike, Which Server / Client OS does this happen on ? You can try to uninstall the printer drivers from the server (Control Panel /Printers / Server Settings / Drivers / Remove) to see if it helps. Guest Mike Johnston Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Re: Printing Blank Pages Server is 2000 client is XP pro. Although this makes no sense to me I found that the Print Spooler on the server had stopped. The clients were still seeing the their printers and they were spitting out blank pages. Restarting the spooler solved the problem but a review of the logs does not show how or why the spooler stopped. Thanks for the assistance. Guest Vera Noest [MVP] Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Re: Printing Blank Pages A crashing print spooler is often caused by a 3rd party printer driver which is not TS compatible. If this happens regularly, uninstall all 3rd party drivers and map the printers to native drivers. _________________________________________________________ Vera Noest MCSE, CCEA, Microsoft MVP - Terminal Server TS troubleshooting: http://ts.veranoest.net ___ please respond in newsgroup, NOT by private email ___ =?Utf-8?B?TWlrZSBKb2huc3Rvbg==?= <MikeJohnston@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote on 22 aug 2007 in microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services: > Server is 2000 client is XP pro.
