The new version, 2007, only works with XP and Vista, maybe with Windows

2000. Stick with the old version for Me and update it regularly.

Re: Ad aware Question

Not too sure Alias, but wasn't Ad-Aware 6 superseded by Ad-Aware SE Personal

(r1.0x) a year or two ago?

However, I notice that AA SE has also been recently pulled from the Lavasoft

site but is still available from :-

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Popup-Ad-Spyware-Blockers/AdAware-SE-Personal.shtml

and still currently working here with regular updates (even on my XP box).

Re: Ad aware Question

Not that it concerns OP, but AA 2007 is still not yet vista-proof according

to Lavasoft website.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely

foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Re: Ad aware Question

Hmm, wonder why they pulled it?

Does that mean something's wrong with it?

My mom downloaded the AA SE (but she's running XP) and she claims there are

so many things

on it that she cant use because the options are 'grayed" out...

I assumed it was because she has a free copy and not a paid for copy..

So I thought it wasnt good to have....?
