Guest Frank Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 If I install a print server on my home network, will I have to enable File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks?
Guest Arun Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 RE: Print servers & File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks Yes. And depends on how U are using that print server or hardware. If the printer server is a "device" that connects to a separate network port, then NO. The print server device will be "sharing" the printer. If you want to "share" your printer over your home network, without using a print server device, then Yes.
