Does not matter. The server stamp should reflect the right time. It does not. Either your Time or Time Zone settings are set incorrectly. Being in Australia does not mean that the time will show as such here, Check your settings

Try the Beta group for W2K8. Since we are stupid and cannot answer your question even when you were given an answer then we will leave you to yourself.Again. Change your TIME\TIME ZONE

hello,

You both should calm down and relax....

me.compositor, do you have any eventlog error ?

Which roles does this server have ?

It's clear that if you think we are dumb, we won't take time to answer,

because it's not us who are in trouble, it's you.

Don't forget that we aren't Microsoft, and aren't paid by Microsoft. We are

just giving help for free.

That's ok mate , i'm in OZ, about your problem.

I'm testing win8k and yes it's slow on startup.

I think it's related to the GUI which overloading the server at startup

compare to wi3k which the GUI is lighter.

Re: Windows Server 2008

How much RAM do you have ?

Any applications on it (SQL Server...) ?

I think you mess around.

CTRL+ALT+DEL,alias SAS (Secure Attention Sequence) is a hotkey registered by

Winlogon. This has nothing to do with powershell..

Re: Windows Server 2008

I am not, but Win2K8 may include as Vista Superfetech. So your disk may be

much stressed upon startup.

What is your disk technology ? Sata ? raid ? How much memory do you have ?

I think it's excellent, except I've found that the keyboard and mouse can

become totally unresponsive on start-up, except when you use CTRL + ALT

+ DEL, which is interesting because I know this thing has a built-in

Powershell but I don't know if it still sees the Task Manager as just

another task.

Are you aware of any win8k system being unresponsive until the SAS

sequence has been performed?

Re: Windows Server 2008

Hi Mathieu,

I think you just nailed it and I wasn't sure if you could it's just that

if it's going to work that way then I think it's best that it not be

responsive AT ALL whatsoever until SAS is complete and having said that

there being something a bit more user friendly than hitting cancel.

Thank you,
