I can only guess that some outside internet shennanigans was attempted in the past, and changed the registry key that activates the button. HELP!!! Located At ... Control Panel Internet Options icon Programs Icon Manage Add-Ons" button Delete Active X" button (greyed-out) Thanks ALL!!!
Guest Newbie Coder Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Re: "Delete Active-X Add-On" Button Greyed-Out?? Dale, Go to the Downloaded Program Files folder in the Windows folder & delete it from there if it exists If the ActiveX is located in the System32 folder then I don't suggest you delete it Sometimes, ActiveX files are in the associated programs Program Files folder too... -- Newbie Coder (It's just a name) "Dale Franks" <no-email@nowhere.com> wrote in message news:eY4f%23cP4HHA.1188@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > Today I went to remove an Active-X "Add-On", and discovered that the "Delete > Active X" button is "greyed-out" ... Guest ernie Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Re: "Delete Active-X Add-On" Button Greyed-Out?? Where do you see that button? If you go via Internet Options > General tab, Temp Internet Files > Settings > View Objects you get "Delete this item" under Folder Tasks or "Remove program file" on the File menu after you have selected an object..
