Guest W. Watson Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Is there PC software that will answer my phone, and give the caller a choice of continuing, leaving a message or getting a informational message (say, about the weather for the day)? -- Wayne Watson (Nevada City, CA) Web Page: <speckledwithStars.net>

Often, software like this is bundled with modems, since a modem is needed to handle the call. And you might try this: http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=answering+system+software&meta= HTH -pk

Typing phone answer software into Google gave me about 85,300,000 hits. My guess is that at least one of them might have something like what you are looking for. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP Windows - Shell/User Please Reply to the Newsgroup

Guest W. Watson Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Re: Software to Answer the Phone with Choices Thanks, but I'm quite familiar with Google. As I recall, Google has been around for quite a few years, and probably 10 people on the planet do not know about it. :-) I've hit a lot of sites without any good results. Actually, I found two, but neither have responded to my request for more information. I suspect there might be a better NG for this question.
