So this thing was fine yesterday. Now the picture I had on my desktop is

gone. When I go into the Control Panel to choose a different one, the desktop

section is grayed out and locked. I cant even scroll down the list; the only

thing it will let me change is the desktop color. Going to

Documents-MyPictures- Selecting a picture, right-clicking and choosing "Set

as Wallpaper" does nothing. But the picture I had comes up, briefly, when the

computer is shutting down or booting up.

WHY?!?! PLEASE make it stop!

Re: Desktop screwed

I have AOl Safety and Security with McAfee anti-virus and firewall. Virus

protection high, firewall medium. I did have a trojan horse the other day,

but it was immediately detected and got cleaned up.

I also tried "Devil_Himself"'s suggestion about line 195. It did nothing.

Again, the picture flashed briefly as the desktop reset itself, but it doesnt

allow me to make any wallpaper changes.

What should I do, besides buy a new computer?
