Guest Jack Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Hi, My computer always checks one of my hard drive partitions during startup. There are no problems with my hard disks But there was an incident that I installed Win 3.1 on E drive with DOSBox... from that while on E drive is always getting checks everytime XP boots. Now the situation has changed a bit, 'I' Drive always gets checks without reasons!! Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Thanks Jack

Here's detailed info on this utility: CHKNTFS.EXE: What You Can Use It For http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;160963&Product=win2000 This info also applies to Windows XP.
