TicTok Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Hi guys, I'm sure you can help me, feel a little stupid asking. Problem is, some web pages I view do not fit on the whole page. One in particular is a Mp3 Music shop calle Beatport. There is a search bar at the top left of the screen but my page only shows half of it. There is a scroll bar at the bottom but it won't scroll over far enough. I have tried adjusting the resolution but it just make the text squash up. Can anyone help me? Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Hi TicTok Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help What size is your monitor please and what resolution is it set to? Quote
RandyL Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Give me a few web addresses TicTok and I'll check it out. Keep in mind the pages may be coded badly in which case it's the fault of the web master and there is nothing you can do. Quote We are all members helping other members. maynardvdm Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Hi If you are using IE in the bottom right corner there is a zoom setting. Set it so it fits your screen. TicTok Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 Cheers for the fast reply. I have tried the zoom function, it still cuts off the whole of the left side of the page. www.beatport.com is one of the website's in particular. I have a 15" Monitor and it is set to 800x600. I've tried putting it to the middle but it blurs all the text. ??? Quote
Goku Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Hello and Welcome to FPCh Tic. :) A stupid question but is your monitor properly aligned? You might be experiencing the scrolling problems as the monitor might be incorrectly aligned? -- Goku Quote

TicTok Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 I've tried that too. There is an auto setting on the monitor but still the same problem. Would that not effect all websites rather than just a few? Quote
Dalo Harkin Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 take it this has only recently happened - have you changed anything - graphics drivers etc? TicTok Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 Actually it happened a while ago, I've just been dealing with it. Like I say it's only a few web pages it effects. I have had to reinstall windows recentley, due to a virus, but I reinstalled all the drivers that came with the pc when I bought it. Quote
Goku Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Seems the problem is with the website itself as Randy mentioned previously. The site you mentioned looks fine to me. Can you please post a screen shot to explain yourself more clearly? :) -- Goku Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 What make and exact model is your PC TicTok as you may need an updated graphics driver? Quote
TicTok Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 Set your screen resolution to 1024 x 768. Yeah that sorted it, Cheers. Quote
