Have you partitioned it? Run compmgmt.msc, choose Disk Management and see

what's there.

Needs to be partitioned to be seen in My Computer, then formatted to be

used.

Does Disk management report the disk as "unused"?

Have you checked Bios setup first to verify that the drive is enabled

properly ? Does it show up in My Computer?

OK, you're going to have to be more specific if you want help.

You're saying the second drive disappeared from Windows Explorer for no

apparent reason, but it can be seen by Disk Manager, or Device Manager, or

both?.

Is this a physical drive, or a partition?

In Disk Management, on the bottom right pane it will have, Disk 0, Disk 1

etc., and it will have a coloured line with a description underneath,

Healthy, Unused, or something else, and the drive letter it has assigned to

the partition. Can you see the disk or partition?

You never indicated and oddly, no one has yet asked the obvious

question: Did it EVER work, or is this a new disk installation?

Re: can`t see second hard drive

Does it still appear in the BIOS? Maybe it went to hard drive heaven?
