Guest Simon in Antwerp Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Here's one for you. When you put in a data CD or DVD, the system looks at the disc and normally gives you a list of options so that you can choose what you want the computer to do. Some dork checked the box that says "always do this option". How do I UNDO this so that computer will continue to ask me what I want it to do? You would think it would be easy to locate a contol for this ....but I'm tearing my hair out looking! Any suggestions?

Double-click (or go to) My Computer and then right-click on the drive in question. You'll see an Autoplay tab. Click on it and set your autoplay options the way you want. Guest Simon in Antwerp Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Re: Auto-Run Options I've already tried that one, both customizing and re-setting for each of my CD/DVD drives, and it make no difference. Every time I insert (say) a music CD, instead of having Media Player automatically firing up and playing it, all I get is the Explorer folder. The same thjing happens with movies, photos etc. Yikes!
