Guest Steffen Heil Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Hi I need to backup a windows 2003 DC. If I do a systemstate backup, I requires about 1GB. Storing 1GB every day is quite a lot. However I don't seem not to be able to do incremental backups of the system state. How is this done correctly? Regards, Steffen
Guest Mathieu CHATEAU Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Re: system state backup Hello, The systemstate can't be backup on the incremental way. Anyway, the smallest change (version number in GPO or lastlogon attribute) will make full backup You may clean hotfix uninstall folder to save some space. 1G is not so much these days.. You may keep less day of backup (retention) -- Cordialement, Mathieu CHATEAU http://lordoftheping.blogspot.com "Steffen Heil" <SteffenHeil@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BA8A9CB2-8427-4DAF-9937-F3024CDBE535@microsoft.com... > Hi > > I need to backup a windows 2003 DC. > If I do a systemstate backup, I requires about 1GB. > Storing 1GB every day is quite a lot. > > However I don't seem not to be able to do incremental backups of the > system > state. > > How is this done correctly? > > Regards, > Steffen >
