Guest Steffen Heil Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Hi I do have an external 400gb harddrive with usb2.0. I formatted it with windows xp as one partition with ntfs. Now I connected that usb drive to my windows 2003 sp2 32bit server, which told me, that would be a 80gb full harddrive. If I plug it back to windows xp it works quite fine. What can I do? I assumes 2003sp2 would accept large drives? Regards, Steffen

If it's still empty, can you try to format it on the server instead ? -- Cordialement, Mathieu CHATEAU http://lordoftheping.blogspot.com "Steffen Heil" <SteffenHeil@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:CC9A1E8C-6323-4DD6-BB24-8ACAE3C0621D@microsoft.com... > Hi > > I do have an external 400gb harddrive with usb2.0. > > I formatted it with windows xp as one partition with ntfs. > > Now I connected that usb drive to my windows 2003 sp2 32bit server, which > told me, that would be a 80gb full harddrive. > > If I plug it back to windows xp it works quite fine. > > What can I do?
