Guest rgh1951 Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 OK, I know this seems pretty insignificant, but I have soemone I support who wants their desktop icons to start at the top RIGHT of the screen, rather than top left...like on Macs - I think this is where she comes from. IOW, the "defualt locs" for ALL icons to be just reversed to the other side of the screen. I believe maybe on Win2K Pro or earlier version of windows I knew how to do this, but have long since forgotten. I know you can deselct auto-arrange, and move them over there. But when any new icon is placed on the desktop, it goes back to the top left...she wants it permantly fixed to display icons from the top right of the screen. Can anyonepoint my in the right direction?
Guest rgh1951 Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 error corrected post - RE: reg fix for desktop icon locations error corrected post - RE: reg fix for desktop icon locations Here is an effort at a error-checked post: OK, I know this seems pretty insignificant, but I have someone I support who wants their desktop icons to start at the top RIGHT of the screen, rather than top left...like on Macs - I think this is where she comes from. In other words, the "default locations" for ALL icons to be just reversed to the other side of the screen.
