Guest DL Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Re: Ethernet issues - I hate computers right now If you look in Hardware Devices are there any exclamation marks shown? In Network Connections the Lan connection is enabled & Firewalled? or perhaps you have a third party Firewall solution that is blocking it? Laptop You still need ethernet drivers if thats what your broadband is connected to "Fidz" <Fidz@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E62D9201-9AF8-48CF-BEA4-28DF1868A95A@microsoft.com... > ok, for those that have been following the saga lol...hard drive failure, > etc > etc, been to the Dell website, downloaded all drivers for my computer > etc...no internet > > ok, my question is basically which device/driver controls the ethernet > side...just so I can make sure it is there > > by the way...internet works fine on my laptop, and it shouldnt need > installing etc, becuase its broadband and the computer should pick it > up...shouldnt it haha
