just as i thought i had got rid of platte media i am now wondering if it is trying to attatch itself to big fish games which I have been using for years without problems. Avast has found the trojan but cannot remove because it is shared with big fish games. What should i do next??

Am at a loss and am hoping platte wont appear again

thanks

Do you think it would be better for a nebie like me to ditch macafee and buy this software.

thanks again appreciate your time

We, at Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help, strongly recommend Nod32 as a resident AntiVirus because it offers real-time protection, has a very high detection rate and is very efficient on resources too. If you want a free alternative, then you might want to consider Avira AntiVir. I personally would ditch McAfee as it is known to cause major conflicts and crashes. At the end of the day, it is your opinion that matters. :)

I run a bought version of Nod 32's Security Suite Bess and find it extremely good.

Firewall, Antivirus, Antispam: ESET Smart Security Has It All

Thank you all I think I will ditch macafee and buy the NOd 32s as Macafee does not seen to detect the trojans.

Thank you
