Have you ascertained where the clicking is coming from yu can you be more specific on this...(where do you thinkg its coming from, is it a clunking clicking sound)

if the PSU has blown it may have casued damage elsewhere (MAY NOT OF so dont worry), just you said you can hear clicking i just wanted to make sure it isnt that hard drive.....if it is you DO NOTwant to be accessing it to much....the first chance you get you should back it all up.(my opinion)

hi again well i have slaved the hard drive to his pc everyting worked ok i found limited files but not all of them ,so we tried just using my hard drive in his pc as the master it wouldnt boot up at all tried running in safe mode no joy there either..it did scroll though sum system commands and it stopped at system32\drivers\btkrnl.sys any idea what that is

you cannot just swap HDD's as your HDD will have all your info for your MOBO on and his for his MOBO - you are missing lots of setup files and thats why it will not boot -

if you have slaved and got the majority of the data off then thats good - what can you not get??

Right click on the drive and "Explore" it.

Open up "Documents and Settings". Chances are you will see more than one account. Open each account and you'll see the "Desktop" folder for that particular account.

If that doesn't help, you can run a "Pictures Only" search on the drive.
