Guest marco Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 My autocomplete has suddenly stopped working its not remembering anything I enter into forms or dropdown menus. I have all the appropriate boxes checked in the respective browsers. Doesn't work in IE7, Firefox or Avant browsers, hence I think its a problem with xp. I set up a new user account in case the old one was corrupt to no avail. Thanks in advance

Guest marco Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Re: auto complete stopped working! Thanks for your prompt reply. Could you please explain how I delete the folder? Do I have to substitute "Username" for my account name? It doesn't affect username and passwords, the url bar, or searches, just forms and certain drop down menus. If so, press Winkey/E, click C: drive, and look for it that way. There are at least two, one in the C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\History folder and one in the C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local Settings\History folder. Those are the folder names on my system.. There may be more when you open the C:\Documents and Settings folder. You might have system folders hidden.. Open Folder Options, View tab, under "Hidden files and folders", select "Show hidden files and folders". Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and see if that lets you see the folders. -- Joe =o)
