Guest Steve Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Hi All, I have a TS that is Windows 2K with Office 2003 on it. The client has Windows XP and connects via RDP. She can print to all apps except Excel. Word is ok..Outlook, Adobe etc...just not Excel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve

Does the user get an error message? Is the document send to the spooler? Any errors in the EventLog? Is this a redirected printer? If so, did you install a 3rd party printer driver for it on the server? _________________________________________________________ Vera Noest MCSE, CCEA, Microsoft MVP - Terminal Server TS troubleshooting: http://ts.veranoest.net *----------- Please reply in newsgroup -------------* Steve <Steve@erssol.com> wrote on 20 aug 2007: > Hi All, > I have a TS that is Windows 2K with Office 2003 on it. Guest Steve Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Re: Can't Print in Excel The printer is visible in Excel. No error message...job goes in and out of the print queue. No errors in event log. The driver is installed on the server. It prints fine in all other applications, except excel. It looks like it acts normal in excel i.e. no errors...sees printer, jobs go in and out of queue...but nothing ever prints. Thanks. Guest Vera Noest [MVP] Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Re: Can't Print in Excel I would start by uninstalling the 3rd party printer driver completely and instead mapping the printer to a native driver. This kind of irratic behaviour is rather common for a printer driver which is not TS compatible. Details here (apply to 2003 as well): 239088 - Windows 2000 Terminal Services Server Logs Events 1111, 1105, and 1106 http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=239088 _________________________________________________________ Vera Noest MCSE, CCEA, Microsoft MVP - Terminal Server TS troubleshooting: http://ts.veranoest.net ___ please respond in newsgroup, NOT by private email ___ Steve <Steve@erssol.com> wrote on 20 aug 2007 in microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services: > The printer is visible in Excel. > No error message...job goes in and out of the print queue. > No errors in event log. > The driver is installed on the server. > It prints fine in all other applications, except excel.
