Request for reboot on startup

Greetings,

Our university has automatic updates set to always on, but I generally check

for updates on various programs manually also. Unfortunately the other week

I manually installed some that were waiting to be installed automatically and

now every time I boot the machine I receive the popup saying the computer

must be rebooted to finish installation. It does not continue with the

messages after I select No (fortunately) but it is a nuisance. Windows

updates are not listed in Add/Remove Programs on our machines. Is there any

way short of roll back of multiple weeks to fix this problem?

Re: Request for reboot on startup

Hi,

Remove anything that is listed here: Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

Re: Request for reboot on startup

Thank you for responding. Unfortunately there are no values under either

field, so looking for something else to attempt.
