help free my ram

Hi, i've just upgraded from 63mb to 191mb ram and everything was running fantastic, but all of a sudden since yesterday, my system ha started running real slow again, and when i check the comp tells me only 17% of my ram is avail at times. Only thing that i installed just before this happened was bt yahoo messenger and then msn messenger then i got rid of bt yahoo.

 

Any help greatly appreciated.

It sounds like one or both of these pieces of software has installed other bundled applications that run in the background and hog resources.

 

First, download the Windows Defender software. Install it on your computer and then restart it your computer in Safe Mode.

 

You then need to scan your computer with Windows Defender. I recommend you choose "Full Scan". Once the scan is finished, quarantine all of the items.
