robscfc Posted August 10, 2008 Author Posted August 10, 2008 Thanks for fast reply :), I have tried the ram in all 4 slots but i get no further, the ram is shown as 2gig on the memory test which is correct
Dalo Harkin Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Right one short beep is RAM ok - The MOBO supports the RAM so its not that - can you get into the BIOS and manually enter the timings? - do you know how to do that? no disrespect is meant but will help when I reply Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
robscfc Posted August 10, 2008 Author Posted August 10, 2008 Also i cant use my keyboard the light flashes on the wireless reciver when i push a button but i cant use it
Dalo Harkin Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 is the keyboard USB - you need to use a PS2 keyboard. and when you do the BIOS and boot to windows - install all the MOBO drivers and then the keyboard will work. If you dont have a PS2 keyboard you are on a sticky wicket as you need one in the first instance.
