Keep in mind that you should only have one antivirus program running in the background. The same goes if you install a firewall program to obtain additional protection than that offered through XP's firewall. Note: You should have more than one antispyware program installed. Free antivirus programs AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 7.5 http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff Free antivirus - avast! 4 Home Edition http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html Free personal firewalls Zone Alarm http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp?dc=12bms&ctry=US&lang=en Comodo Free Firewall http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/ Free antispyware programs Ad-Aware 2007 Free http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad_aware_free.php SUPERAntiSpyware http://www.superantispyware.com/ Spybot Search and Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html SpywareBlaster 3.5.1 http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html Good luck Nepatsfan

There are many free downloadable virus programs, and I strongly recommend installing any of them! Instead I recommend tat you download and install a free *anti*-virus program. ;-) I recommend the free Avast!, but there are other good choices. You also need at least two Anti-spyware programs. I recommend Spybot search and Destroy, Spyware Blaster, and Adaware. Getting rid of Norton Internet Security is a good move. It's probably the worst possible choice. -- Ken Blake - Microsoft MVP Windows: Shell/User Please reply to the newsgroup
