As some of you know, my time at Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help has been limited due to work responsibilities and a house reno investment that I've just started working on.

Here is a briefing on the house.

It cost me $180,000 (US), approx $90,000 (UK) and sits on a 200x100 foot lot.

The back half of the house is a solid 30 year old mobile, and the front half is a modern looking addition that was just built 10 years ago.

In total, it's around 2200 sq. feet, with a large kitchen and dining room, 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 dens, 1 bathroom, and a laundry room.

The bathroom was outright horrific. Much more so than any other back half the house.

The "after" pictures were taken without any trim installed, the new storage cabinet, and a few other things. Despite that, the transformation is dramatic.

The first three images are the "before", the rest are "after".

Not bad for a house in Reno seth. :)

Why do you have a caravan stuck on the back?

Is Reno in Alabama? :D

Does it have a porch with hound dogs and high possum activity?

(btw this a private joke between seth and I)

Thanks Dalo.

It's 90% complete, but i just can't seem to muster up the motivation to finish it:)

Great reno, Seth!

I too can sympathize with the lack of motivation towards the end of a massive project ... just finished a kitchen from 'bare bones' and there's been times when it can seem endless!

Thanks Mara.

Once I finish the bathroom, I've got 1000 sq feet of laminate flooring to install.

Oh your poor knees, doing all that laminate flooring! Actually I turned out to be a 'whiz' at it (if you don't count the bruised knees and aching back) and we put in 1,200 square feet - all on an angle - at our previous home (kitchen, bathrooms included). Took a lot longer because of all the extra cuts but looked wonderful when finished (if I do say so myself - grin!).

Best of luck and hope you'll show us before/after photos of the flooring when finished, as well.
