Guest Justin Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Hello, I have read through the discussion and I am unable to find a solution. Hopefully someone here will be able to help me out. I'm using a new laptop with Windows XP. Some of the file icons appear correctly, and some appear incorrectly. The incorrect icons have a white background with the regular icon much smaller and in the middle. The correct application opens when clicked and I haven't experienced any problems because of the different icons, but I would like to fix it. All MS Word icons appear correctly, but Excel and Adobe icons do not. I have tried TweakUI and refreshing the icons and it did not help. I have also tried chainging the colour depth to force a refresh and that didn't help either. Thanks for your help! Justin

Guest Justin Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Re: Desktop Icons with white background Thanks for the response. I should have mentioned that I am using Office 2003 with XP, though the problem is not only with Microsoft products. All my PDF documents also appear this same way. It would be easier to upload an image showing what is occuring. Thanks, Justin "Kelly" wrote: > Hi Justin, > > Office 2007?
