Guest Md. Ibrahim Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 My environment is Windows XP Pro SP2 with MS Office 2003 Pro. While *.doc, *.xls and *.ppt can be open using double-click, on the windows explorer, these documents appear as an undefined icon. Trying to reset the icon doesn't work, (Windows Explorer - Tools - Folder Options - File Types). Tried to use the Repair Icons in Tweak UI also cannot resolve the problem. What else can be done to show the correct icons ?

Guest Md. Ibrahim Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Re: File Association Icons cannot be set Yes, after I run Detect-and-Repair for Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and after the icons remain the same, I went over to the File Explorer - Tools - Folder Options - File Types, and select Advanced - change icon. In this dialog view, the icon appear as it is supposed to be but not on the File Explorer view. I closed the explorer and open a new one, but still get the same.
