Guest Simon Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 I run XP SP2 and IE 7. I ran M/S Update and it offered me an optional hardware update - Network Adapter Realtek RTL8139 Family Fast Ethernet NIC dated June 2007. I installed it but found that I lost the network connection when awakening the PC from standby (from cold OK !). So I rolled back to previous driver - fine. However, M/S Update tells me that the update is still on my PC but it is classed as uninstalled. I would like to delete it as there is no point keeping it given that it doesn't work. Unfortunately, having looked all over, I can't find its location (unusually it doesn't have a KB number either). Can anyone help please.

Guest Simon Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 RE: Windows Update Thanks for the suggestion but I've tried that one with no success.
