My Xbox Elite Controller 2 used to work fine through wired connection but now it doesn't. It still vibrates and receives power though.

My usb Drives don't need an update. I did a full reinstallation of windows (to get rid of a anti-malware that I thought could have been the cause). Now when I plug the controller in it vibrates, the home button is blinking, and I get a message that says "The last USB device you have connected to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows doesn't recognize it.
