What internet security do I need?

Hi there,

 

I have been reading the various threads and there is just so much info to take in. I need somoeone to tell me what I need for my PC. I mostly just use it to surf the net.

 

After reading the threads, I was just about to buy NOD32 but then I got confused as it is just Anti-virus. Do I need all this other stuff? Should I opt for an internet security suite package?

 

The list I have put together from reading advice is:

 

Anti-virus

Firewall

Anti-spyware

Spybot Search and Destroy

 

Is NOD32 enough? I have been recommeded Kapersky. Is it any good? If so I was directed towards a site called Kaspersky Anti-virus | Kaspersky Internet Security where it was half the price. Does anyone know if this is genuine?

 

A million questions I know!! I am getting so frustrated though!

Nod32 suite is very good - but there are lots of others and its down to personal choice - I use Windows live onecare - I think it can only be used on Vista and is around £15 for a year subscription.

I have Eset's NOD32 Security Suite on a 1 year license for £39.99 and it's wicked.

Thanks. I think I'll go for NOD32. Do I need anything else (firewalls etc?) or will this cover everyting I need? (I ask, but I don't even know what they all mean!)
