Hi

Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

Did you have any previous versions of Norton on your computer?

Did you use the Norton removal tool to remove all old versions before installing Norton360? I take it you have Norton360 right?

Thanks for replying yes i have norton 360 and yes i did remove an older version of norton with the removal tool.

Theres something else, i think my problems may of started when i installed security pack 3. Do you think this could be the problem.

Do you mean Service Pack 3(SP3) for Windows?

And yes you should have uninstalled Norton before upgrading to SP3. There has been issues when people did not uninstall Norton before upgrading to SP3.

Completely remove Norton and re-install it, if that doesn't work

Uninstall SP3, Completely remove Norton, then you can try upgrading to SP3 and then reinstall Norton.

Sorry

Sorry i did post a reply a few days ago, just noticed not sent.

Yes sp3, i solved my problem, via the norton removal tool.

The thing is i remember dowmloading the new norton, at the time and removing any old norton i had on my pc.

Strange that i needed to use the tool again.

Thanks for your help.
