Why is my internet being slow only when I turn my laptop on? and even though it is hogging the internet I can't load any games.

My Laptop will hog the internet but the internet is still so slow, like what I mean by this is my Wi-Fi works fine on every device when my laptop is not on but as soon as I turn it on everything stops working and I cannot play online games on my laptop, i have gone to the extent of restarting the router, and disconnecting all devices besides my laptop and it is still running slower than usual, any tips can help, sorry if this is undescriptive I'm not really sure how to describe what's going on.
